    Creative Tension

“Good design is a renaissance attitude that combines technology, cognitive science, human need, and beauty to produce something that the world didn’t know it was missing.” — Paola Antonelli, curator of architecture and design at the Museum of Modern Art Thoughtful quote I picked out from blog post by Dave Troy about the “tension” (I would call it a creative intersection that produces innovations, as Frans Johansson would say) between dominantly left and right brain thinkers. He also created these cool applications like Twittervision and Flickrvision that provide real-time visualization…

    Spectacular energizing Vienna

It takes a while to get used to sleeping at normal SYR hours and settling down to small city living. In Vienna, I cherished the urban vitality and accessibility to food, shops and European goods. The transportation system and big city living reminded me a lot of SG and the convenience of living in a developed city. I walked a lot and was in the sun often. The first few nights I was exhausted from all the walking and jetlag. An American professor at the conference told me it took…

They are ahead of us by about 6 hours. So it will be interesting how I will adjust to the time difference. It’s taken a long time to get to where I…
