A writer uses words; a painter his strokes and colors. As a designer of learning experiences, I want my design works made of words and media elements to have transformative power. As a person with limited time on earth, I want my life to have transformative power.

Listen to your life in the deep and quiet of yourself to see how to effect that transformation. Buechner believed that listening to your life is the most essential practice, and I do too. Often, I’ve been so busy making a living to pay bills, I neglect this significant practice. I have taken time off to slow down and truly listen to my life.
