Learning Experience Design: Leader and Developer
Client: NITAAC
Sector: Federal Government
Completed: December 2024. Launched NITAAC University as a Minimum Viable Product/MVP with the first training course, Introduction to NITAAC GWACs.
While under contract with MetroStar to work with NITAAC, a NIH (National Institutes of Health) office, I led the design and development of NITAAC University, a custom LMS (Learning Management System). I worked closely with UX and DEV teams to turn learning theory into an elegant, user-centered platform. From early prototypes to final rollout, we built a system that’s not just functional, but also impactful for learners.
My roles and responsibilities include:
1. Lead LMS Design & Development
Spearheaded the modernization and integration of the NITAAC Learning Management System (LMS), overseeing platform selection, implementation, and course conversion for online learning.
2. Research & Strategic Planning
Conducted a comprehensive LMS market analysis, evaluating 50+ commercial platforms, leading to the selection of Drupal 10 as the LMS solution through a structured evaluation process.
3. Curriculum & Content Development
Collaborated with subject matter experts (SMEs), key stakeholders, UX, and DEV teams to design and develop course maps, storyboards, media assets, and user personas, all the while ensuring engaging and high-quality training content are tailored for government professionals.
4. Project Leadership & Client Engagement
Developed the NITAAC University MVP Proposal/concept within five months, presenting it to key stakeholders and earning outstanding client feedback. Presented monthly reports and demos to track progress
I developed all the content, including graphics and videos, except for the course trailer.
